At Sentinel Self Storage, we’re always looking for ways to better serve our tenants, support our managers, and continue investing in the future of our operations. This summer marks an exciting milestone as Sentinel prepares to transition to Cubby; a modern property management software platform designed specifically for the self-storage industry.
After more than 20 years with the same software provider, the move to Cubby represents a major step forward for our company. The new cloud-based platform will bring all of our systems together into one intuitive, streamlined experience that is faster, smarter, and far more user-friendly than our current system.
Cubby will simplify day-to-day operations across all Sentinel locations through improved navigation, easier tenant management, and enhanced lead generation capabilities with one-click functionality. The platform’s modern interface and advanced technology will allow our teams to work more efficiently while delivering an even better experience for our customers.
Operators who had already adopted the software emphasized how quickly their teams embraced the platform and how intuitive the system felt from day one. That feedback has already proven true at Sentinel. Our managers are currently testing a sandbox version of the software, and the early response has been overwhelmingly positive.
In addition to the software transition, Sentinel is also upgrading the legacy gate systems currently used at 12 of our locations. The new cloud-based gate management system will provide greater visibility into site access, allow for remote management capabilities, and eliminate disruptions caused by Microsoft updates that impact our current system.
Cubby’s strengths in communication, automation, and business intelligence reporting are expected to be transformative for our operations and our customers alike. Together with the upgraded gate systems, these improvements reflect Sentinel’s continued commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and delivering a seamless storage experience.
